Block Paved Driveway Installation in Frinton-on-Sea
New block paved driveway installation in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex: full excavation and hardcore sub-base, 110 square metres of charcoal block paving with parking for four to five cars, plus a dedicated planting bed. The final phase of a full house renovation and extension at the same property.
The Client's Vision
The BriefWhat the client wanted
Having completed a full house renovation and rear extension at this Frinton-on-Sea property, the client returned to Belvia to finish the job from the outside in. The brief was a full replacement driveway: remove the tired existing paving and soil, and install a new block paved surface with off-road parking for four to five cars, plus space for planting near the road boundary.
What we delivered
We stripped out the existing driveway and soil back to a scarified sub-grade, laid a geotextile membrane and a new compacted hardcore sub-base across the full 110 square metre area, then installed charcoal block paving in a herringbone-adjacent bond with matching kerb edging. A circular planting bed was formed and edged into the paving near the boundary and backfilled with topsoil. The whole job, old driveway out and new one in, was completed in two weeks.
