Bathroom Refurbishment in Witham
Refurbishment of a well-used family bathroom in Witham, Essex: a full strip-out, a re-plumbed and re-wired layout, and a fully reboarded and replastered room, finished with a suite and tiles the client chose themselves.
The Client's Vision
The BriefWhat the client wanted
The client’s family bathroom in Witham had seen years of daily use and needed a complete overhaul. As well as a like-for-like refresh, they wanted the layout changed, which meant moving plumbing and electrical feeds rather than simply refitting around the existing pipework.
They had already chosen their own suite, tiles and flooring, and wanted a builder to take care of everything else: the strip-out, the first fix, all of the building materials, and the installation around the pieces they had picked.
What we delivered
We stripped the bathroom back to bare plaster and subfloor, renewed the plumbing and electrical feeds to suit the new layout, and reboarded and replastered the room throughout. Every building material was supplied by us, including the plasterboard, plaster, adhesive and fixings, with the client providing only the suite, tiles and flooring they had chosen. The finished bathroom was handed over within two weeks.

Outcome
The ResultThe result is a family bathroom that finally works for how the household actually uses it: a new layout, freshly boarded and plastered throughout, and finished with a suite and tiles the client chose themselves. Because the room came out of a full strip-out with all-new first fix, there’s nothing hidden behind the new surfaces waiting to cause a problem in a few years.
The whole job, strip-out to finished suite, ran to a 2-week programme, agreed and held to from the outset.
